OCIAL ACTIVITIES
BOOK DISCUSSION: If you love to read and enjoy thought-provoking and stimulating conversation, then this is the group for you. We have two groups, each meeting once a month, September through June. All members decide upon a book list and we discuss one book per month. This is a fun group and you'll enjoy the lively discussions.
BREAKFAST CLUB: When is the last time you ate breakfast without the interruption of phone calls and making beds? Join other women once a month for a relaxing breakfast at a local diner.
GAMES NIGHT: Enjoy playing games, but don't have anyone to play with? This is a must for all you board game lovers. Join us once a month for a fun-filled evening, playing a variety of games.
LADIES AT THE MOVIES: Interested members will meet once a month at a theater and attend a movie of their choice. This group gives you the opportunity to see a movie in the company of friends.
LUNCH BUNCH: Sometimes we need to be reminded that we are more than a mother, a best friend, a wife, a chauffeur and a housekeeper. So please join us for lunch. We get together in each others' homes alternating months with each guest bringing part of the meal, then enjoy lunch at a local restaurant for the other month.
MAH JONG: Get together with friends to play Mah Jong. We have evening and daytime groups.
SCRABBLE: Get together with other members once a month and share a game of fun and competition. You don't have to be an expert to join in. Day and evening sessions held.
SUPPER CLUB: Enjoy a Saturday evening out with your partner. Supper Club boasts an informal atmosphere where each guest chooses and brings her own dish, ranging from appetizer to dessert. You will have an opportunity to make new friends as you dine with us once a month.
TOURS & LUNCHEONS: Enjoy a drive out and lunch at a restaurant with friends whilst exploring interesting places. Past trips include Longwood Gardens, Peddler's Village and Philadelphia Flower Show.

CIVIC AND CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES
Although Newcomers is primarily a social club, we support local civic and charitable causes.
CIVIC ACTIVITIES
For several years now, Western Monmouth County Newcomers Club has volunteered at the St. Peter’s Episcopal Church Outreach program on Throckmorton St., Freehold. This program helps those in need in the community by offering community dinners.
We will be providing the total support for the community dinners for the chosen evening. This will include donating all the food as well as serving it. If you can't cook or shop, no problem, someone will do it for you. We know that in this economy times are difficult for many, but we hope that everyone can and will donate to this worthy cause.
CHARITABLE SUPPORT
This year our fundraising will go to Rebuilding Warriors.
Rebuilding Warriors provides highly trained and socialized Service/Companion Dogs to Veterans diagnosed as Amputees as well as those with PTSD, (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). The board met a dog with his handler and the dog was amazing. It is great that we help those who gave so much in service to our country.
For our holiday giving tree, we will be providing gifts to the Frances Foundation. This organization helps families with children who have cancer. They help by granting wishes, they also help the families who need financial help. Check out their website for more information.
